Warren Alperstein Quoted in Baltimore Sun Regarding Latest Update in Freddie Gray Trials

Criminal defense attorney, Warren S. Alperstein, offered his analysis of Officer Caesar Goodson Jr.’s decision to forgo a jury trial. Officer Goodson was the driver of the van where Freddie Gray suffered his fatal injuries.

Many believe that Goodson sought a jury trial after the outcome of Officer Edward Nero’s trial. Yet as Mr. Alperstein stated “…Officer Goodson is putting all of his eggs in one basket in having Judge Williams making the decision, on the other hand, Judge Williams certainly has demonstrated in Nero’s trial that he is able to hear the evidence, apply the law and ultimately make a decision that may not be popular.”
