Warren Alperstein Explains Legal Process for ‘Sex for Repairs’ Investigation
Warren S. Alperstein recently spoke with WBAL-TV 11 about theĀ investigation into sexual misconduct complaints by residents in Baltimore’s public housing. A civil suit claims maintenance workers demanded sexual favors in exchange for repairs requested by the housing residents.
“There is a process that needs to be completed to see whether prosecutors would move forward with a criminal investigation,” said Mr. Alperstein. “It becomes a little more difficult to prove a criminal case, where it’s if you don’t do this for me, I won’t fix the problem in your apartment. That’s going to be a little more difficult to prove here in state court in Baltimore City.”
