Possible Reductions of Charges for Officers in Death of Freddie Gray
On May 1, 2015, State’s Attorney,Marilyn Mosby, promised justice for the death of Freddie Gray just before announcing that six Baltimore police officers would face criminal charges. Regarding the charges against Officer Goodson, Andrew Alperstein states that the prosecution will have to prove that “what the officer did was so reckless and so depraved of any feeling or heart that it rises to the level of criminality”.
